A law firm seeks a full-time Associate Attorney specializing in civil litigation in Louisiana or Mississippi. The ideal candidate will have a proactive approach to case handling and a willingness to follow established systems and processes for efficient file management.

Duties

  • Manage and handle civil litigation cases effectively.
  • Participate in trial or arbitration proceedings.
  • Conduct depositions and argue motions and appeals.
  • Utilize case management and billing programs.
  • Engage in research, writing, and verbal communication tasks.

Requirements

  • 3-5 years of litigation experience.
  • Licensed to practice law in Louisiana and / or Mississippi preferred.
  • Experience in both state and federal courts.

    • Education

  • Juris Doctor (JD) degree.

    • Certifications

  • Bar admission in Louisiana and / or Mississippi preferred.

    • Skills

  • Strong research, writing, and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to negotiate effectively.
  • Proactive attitude and approach to case handling.
  • Health insurance.
