About The Position

Duties :

• Screens and assesses patients in an accurate and timely manner based on levels of care; determines patients' nutritional needs and status and provides follow-up care.Interviews patients and / or their families to obtain history of food habits and preferences.
• Monitors patients for and provides education on food / drug interactions.
• Records food and drug interactions in the education section.Interprets pertinent laboratory, physical and social data in the medical record, as it applies to nutrition care.
• Provides nutrition education and records patient's diet and diet instructions and the patient's understanding of the diet in the education section.
• Consults with physicians regarding appropriate diet modification.Modifies patient menus as needed.
