Job Description

Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

Provide specialized speech-language pathology services in a K-12 school setting, focusing on pediatric clients in the Brevard, NC area. This contract position requires a dedicated professional to deliver care across the school year, extended school year (ESY), and new school year (NSY) periods, maintaining consistency by serving the same students throughout.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Deliver individualized speech-language therapy services to 6th and 8th grade students.
  • Conduct assessments, develop treatment plans, and implement interventions aligned with students needs.
  • Participate in team meetings and complete necessary administrative tasks in accordance with program requirements.
  • Provide both direct and indirect services, ensuring effective communication with educators and families.
  • Maintain compliance with school policies and speech-language pathology best practices.

Qualifications :

  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Experience working within healthcare and pediatric settings, preferably in schools.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage caseload effectively, with this position supporting up to 6 students.
  • Familiarity with school-based SLP responsibilities and professional standards.
  • Availability to provide approximately 2.5 hours of therapy weekly, with paid time allotted for administrative duties and team collaboration.

  • Assignment : One school within the district.
  • Schedule : Immediate start with ongoing engagement through ESY in July and continuation into the following school year.
