Job Description\n

American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) position requiring a GA or compact RN license and at least two years of PACU experience.

\n \n Responsibilities\n

  • Work in the PACU (Post Anesthesia Care Unit) in a hospital setting
  • Patient population includes post-surgical patients recovering from anesthesia
  • 10-hour day shifts, 9 : 00am to 7 : 30pm, four shifts per week
  • 13-week contract assignment
  • No on-call responsibilities
  • Must be available to work two of the three major holidays (Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Day, New Year's Day) and one minor holiday (Day after Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, New Year's Eve)
  • Returning perm staff must have been away for at least two years to be considered as a traveler
  • Request for time off (RTO) must be communicated before acceptance of offer
  • First time travelers will be considered
  • Scrub requirements and dress code policies will be provided during orientation

  • Active GA or compact RN license required
  • Minimum of 2 years recent PACU nursing experience required
  • Current BLS, ACLS, and PALS certifications required
  • Candidates must live at least 50 miles away from the facility
  • Permanent address must match driver’s license and RN license information
