Job Overview

The Licensing and Regulation Division has two attorney vacancies; one is housed in the Cannabis Section and the other vacancy is housed within the Health / Occupational Section.

Responsibilities

  • Handle various legal assignments of varying complexity.
  • Draft division-level legal advice.
  • Provide day-to-day legal representation for state agencies, boards, commissions, officers, and employees.
  • Represent in administrative proceedings and in state and federal courts.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Juris Doctorate degree from an accredited law school.
  • Membership in good standing in the Michigan State Bar.

    • Experience

  • Attorney-Staff P15 : No specific type or amount required.
  • Attorney-Senior 16 : Four years of post-bar admission legal experience.

    • Additional Qualifications

  • Membership in good standing in the Michigan State Bar.

    Salary : $33.53 – $71.64 Hourly
