LocumJobsOnline is working with Alumni Healthcare Staffing to find a qualified Neonatal MD in Hummelstown, Pennsylvania, 17036!

About The Position

Requirements  Please note : Penn State prefers a locum that has a PA license but if they have the right skills set they would be open to reviewing candidates that have started the PA application process.

Level IV 56 bed NICU with very high acuity. APP’s work in collaboration with the MD’s but it is the APP that oversees the daily care of the babies as a provider.

We need mostly nights and weekend shifts, but we can certainly add a few day shifts. I do not have a need for an only dayshift locum.

Weekdays Monday – Friday : Day shift is 7a-5pm Evening / Night shift is 4p-8a

Weekends Saturday – Sunday Day shift 7a-7p and Evening / Nights 7p-7a

We can also accommodate a 24 hour shift any day of the week.

During the day there can be 5-6 APP’s on shift and on evenings / nights and weekends there can 2-3 APP’s on shift.

Orientation : 3 full day shifts during the weekday, 2 evening / night shifts and 2 weekend shifts. They will get their picture ID, have their Cerner set up, get access to our scrub machine. During this time, they will be paired with a PSH APP to shadow and orient with.

We need APP’s that can do ground and air transport. They will need to go through our orientation for transport. This is 2 one-hour online training courses that should be completed before their first day and a 45 min in person training at our life lion hanger. The in-person training will be scheduled once they arrive.

We also ask them to do a 4 hour and 45 min online EMR training before their first day.

Must have the following skills : PICC / UVC / UAC lines, chest tubes, lumbar punctures, intubations.

IMLC accepted

OT will need approval from Practice Admin

Lunch is not included in worked hours - Please have provider swipe out for lunch and back in.
