Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.

An opportunity is available for experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to provide essential support to students in a K-12 educational setting in Pollock, LA. This full-time, school-year contract position offers a dynamic role working with a diverse caseload of 6080 students ranging from PreK through 12th grade. Employed as a district-wide itinerant SLP, you will deliver pivotal speech and language services that foster communication skills and enhance academic success.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Conduct speech and language assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
  • Provide direct therapy services addressing a range of pediatric speech and language disorders
  • Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
  • Maintain accurate documentation and track student progress in compliance with state and district guidelines
  • Participate in district-wide meetings and professional development activities
  • Travel between schools within the district; travel expenses are compensated

Qualifications and Experience :

  • Possess a valid Speech-Language Pathologist license issued by the state of Louisiana
  • Certified Speech-Language Pathologist with CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
  • Experience working in pediatric and school-based settings, preferably with K-12 populations
  • Ability to manage a moderate to large caseload effectively and efficiently
  • Professional demeanor and strong communication skills
  • Must complete fingerprinting for employment eligibility
  • Additional Details :

  • Location : Pollock, LA (District-wide itinerant assignment)
  • Work schedule : MondayFriday, 7 : 45 AM to 3 : 15 PM, 37.5 hours per week
  • Contract term : Full 20252026 school year
  • Interview format : Individual Zoom interviews with immediate scheduling availability
