Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology, active SLP license and 1+ year of Speech-Language Pathology experience required. Applicants who do not meet these qualifications will not be considered.
An opportunity is available for experienced Speech-Language Pathologists (SLPs) to provide essential support to students in a K-12 educational setting in Pollock, LA. This full-time, school-year contract position offers a dynamic role working with a diverse caseload of 6080 students ranging from PreK through 12th grade. Employed as a district-wide itinerant SLP, you will deliver pivotal speech and language services that foster communication skills and enhance academic success.
Key Responsibilities :
- Conduct speech and language assessments and develop individualized treatment plans
- Provide direct therapy services addressing a range of pediatric speech and language disorders
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student progress
- Maintain accurate documentation and track student progress in compliance with state and district guidelines
- Participate in district-wide meetings and professional development activities
- Travel between schools within the district; travel expenses are compensated
Qualifications and Experience :
Possess a valid Speech-Language Pathologist license issued by the state of LouisianaCertified Speech-Language Pathologist with CCC (Certificate of Clinical Competence)Experience working in pediatric and school-based settings, preferably with K-12 populationsAbility to manage a moderate to large caseload effectively and efficientlyProfessional demeanor and strong communication skillsMust complete fingerprinting for employment eligibilityAdditional Details :
