Aerospace Production ManagerWe are seeking a highly capable and driven Aerospace Production Manager to oversee all machining and spinning operations at our aerospace-focused facility. This role will be responsible for managing a variety of teams—including machinists, engineers, and operators—while ensuring space-related production schedules are met and maintained. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in manufacturing leadership, a sharp sense of operational urgency, and the ability to coordinate multiple functions, including maintenance and quality assurance, under one roof. Key Responsibilities
- Manage and lead day-to-day aerospace production operations across machining, spinning, and supporting departments in a 70,000+ sq. ft. facility
- Oversee a team including CNC machinists, metal spinning operators, production engineers, inspectors, and support personnel
- Ensure on-time production and delivery of high-precision aerospace and space components
- Drive execution of production schedules while balancing quality, throughput, and labor efficiency
- Collaborate with engineering, quality, planning, and maintenance teams to resolve bottlenecks and remove barriers to production
- Support and enforce safety protocols, standard operating procedures, and compliance with internal and external regulations
- Coordinate with the maintenance team to ensure equipment uptime and timely repairs for critical machines
- Monitor daily production output, conduct root cause analysis for delays, and lead corrective action efforts
- Report production performance metrics to senior leadership and participate in cross-site operational planning
- Foster a culture of accountability, communication, and continuous improvement among all teams and shifts Qualifications
- Minimum 7–10 years of progressive experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment, preferably in aerospace, defense, or high-precision industries
- Minimum 5 years of production management or manufacturing leadership experience, with proven ability to lead cross-functional teams
- Strong understanding of machining and metal forming processes, including CNC and metal spinning operations
- Familiarity with quality control standards, inspections, and working with tight-tolerance aerospace components
- Knowledge of ERP systems, production tracking, and reporting tools
- Experience managing or coordinating with maintenance and quality departments
- Effective leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills in a dynamic production environment
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, industrial management, or equivalent experience preferred
