Pay Rate : Roughly $30 / hour W2 + Benefits $34 / hour C2C

Job Description :

Our Clients Global Ground Transportation team is seeking a Buyer / Purchasing 3 to support the Finance Services Division and Indirect Services Business Center. This individual will lead supplier strategy execution for logistics automation and material handling equipment while collaborating cross-functionally with Buyers and Project Engineering teams.

Key Responsibilities :

Review and evaluate suppliers based on cost, quality, service, and availability

Approve purchases and purchase orders, and review requisitions

Solicit bid proposals and negotiate vendor contracts

Address delivery issues and defective goods with staff and suppliers

Guide staff on negotiation tactics and contract administration

Monitor contract compliance and performance

Manage just-in-time inventory systems

Attend trade shows for vendor engagement and market research

Qualifications (Required) :

Bachelor’s degree in Finance or a related business field

5–7 years of finance-related or purchasing experience

Strong skills in supplier contracting and RFQ development

Proven ability to negotiate and manage vendor relationships

Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel

Soft Skills Required :

Strong verbal and written communication

Effective interpersonal and mentoring skills

Ability to present findings and recommendations

Typical Day & Interaction with Team :

Daily collaboration with Buyers and Engineering teams

On-site in a manufacturing office environment

Task rhythm includes supplier strategy execution, contract negotiations, and RFQ management
