LABOR & EMPLOYMENT ATTORNEY (NON-PARTNERSHIP TRACK)

Location : Los Angeles, CA

Our client, an AmLaw 100 firm with a strong global presence, is seeking a skilled Labor & Employment Attorney to join its Los Angeles team in a salaried, non-partnership track role . This position offers a reduced billable hour target and the opportunity to work on sophisticated employment matters for high-profile clients within a collaborative and supportive environment.

Candidate Profile

JD from a top-tier law school with a strong academic record
Active Bar Admission in California, in good standing
6+ years (Class of 2018+) of substantive labor and employment law experience
Litigation Expertise : Significant experience managing litigation matters independently, including drafting pleadings , managing discovery , taking depositions , and handling hearings
Strong analytical, research, and legal writing skills
Ability to oversee case strategy, manage deadlines, and interact directly with clients and opposing counsel
Professionalism : Demonstrated initiative, sound judgment, and a client-service mindset in a fast-paced environment

Key Responsibilities

Manage labor and employment litigation matters from inception through resolution

Take and defend depositions , handle hearings , and engage in motion practice

Conduct legal research and draft memoranda , briefs , and pleadings

Advise clients on employment law compliance , workplace disputes , and risk mitigation strategies

Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas to support comprehensive client service

Compensation & Benefits

Competitive Compensation : Annual base salary is expected to range from $150,000 – $250,000 , depending on experience, qualifications, and market factors

Discretionary bonus opportunities are also available
