Position Overview

We’re hiring a Rental Maintenance Specialist to help maintain our rental properties at a high standard. In this role, you’ll be responsible for completing maintenance work orders, performing routine property inspections, and handling general repairs to ensure homes are safe, functional, and well-cared-for. You’ll also maintain positive communication with tenants to support a great living experience. What will I do?

  • Schedule and perform regular inspections of rental properties to identify needed maintenance and ensure proper care of each home
  • Perform preventative maintenance across multiple properties to avoid costly repairs
  • Maintain and update a deferred maintenance list with property addresses, issues, and estimated costs
  • Complete scope-of-work punch items identified during post-renovation inspections
  • Inspect subcontractor work on punch list items to verify completion and quality standards
  • Track progress of repairs and updates in the company CRM
  • Respond to all maintenance requests within 24 hours of receipt
  • Document completed work with clear photos and notes for the Project Manager

What do I have to have?

  • 3–5 years of hands-on residential maintenance experience (multi-family or single-family properties preferred)
  • Working knowledge of basic home repair trades, including electrical, plumbing, drywall, and painting
  • HVAC certification strongly preferred (EPA Universal or Type II ideal)
  • Ability to troubleshoot, prioritize, and complete multiple work orders independently
  • Strong communication skills to interact with tenants, subcontractors, and team members
  • Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation (company vehicle may be provided based on availability)
