Mid-Atlantic Permanente Medical Group (MAPMG) invites applications for a Research Data Analyst II Job Summary to join our Research department. This position is a full-time opportunity based out of our regional office located in Washington D.C. with a hybrid work model .

Reporting to a Director, Research Analytics and Data Development , the Research Data Analyst II will collaborate with investigators with designing research studies and methodologies, designing databases for research projects, and running analytical reports. You will analyze research results, collaborate with clients to identify key focus areas and priorities based on data insights, and contribute to the design of tailored data solutions.
You can expect to :
- Serve as the primary data analyst across multiple research projects, providing analytic support and developing data solutions.
- Extract, manipulate, and merge large datasets; define analytical variables; and deliver tailored solutions using SAS, SQL, and related tools.
- Oversee all phases of programming, data management, quality control, and reporting to ensure data accuracy, integrity, and completeness.
- Collaborate with scientists and investigators to clarify data assumptions, guide analyses, and present findings to clients and professional colleagues.
- Contribute to methodology design, database development, and problem-solving to support research initiatives.
What is required :
Bachelor’s degree required; master’s in public health, biostatistics, or related field is preferredMinimum of three (3) to five (5) years of experience designing, developing, implementing, and managing research databases using SQL and SASStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work with large and complex datasetsProven project management, organizational, and communication skills (written and oral)Ability to translate complex data into clear, meaningful reports and presentationsCollaborative team player with experience supporting multidisciplinary research teamsMust be able to commute to the Washington D.C. office as needed.Candidates must either currently live in or be willing to relocate to the Washington D.C. metropolitan areaMust provide documentation of the Covid vaccine 2-dose series (or J&J 1-dose) prior to October 1, 2023, or documentation for 1-dose of the most current Covid vaccine (Pfizer or Moderna) as a condition of employmentMust provide documentation for the influenza vaccine as a condition of employmentCompetitive Benefits :
