Amergis Healthcare Staffing, Inc. is seeking a travel nurse RN Med Surg for a travel nursing job in Post Falls, Idaho.

Medical-SurgicalRegistered Nurse (RN)

The Medical-SurgicalRN is a skilled and compassionate nursing professional responsible fordelivering comprehensive care to adult patients with a wide range of medicalconditions and surgical needs. The Med-Surg RN collaborates with physicians,interdisciplinary teams, and support staff to ensure safe, effective, andpatient-centered care.

Apply the nursing process to assess, plan, implement, and evaluate care for adult patients with diverse medical and surgical diagnoses

Conduct thorough patient assessments, including vital signs, physical exams, and health histories

Administer medications, treatments, and IV therapies as prescribed

Monitor and document patient responses to interventions and changes in condition

Collaborate with healthcare providers to develop and adjust individualized care plans

Prepare patients for diagnostic tests, procedures, and surgeries

Provide preoperative and postoperative care, including wound care, pain management, and mobility support

Educate patients and families on disease processes, medications, discharge instructions, and self-care

Maintain accurate and timely documentation in the electronic health record (EHR)

Adhere to infection control, safety, and quality standards

Respond promptly to emergencies such as rapid deterioration, falls, or code situations

Current Registered Nurse License in the state of practice

Minimum one year of professional nursing experience; TB screening and health clearance (as required by contract or regulation)

Compliance with all federal, state, and local regulations

Successful completion of new hire orientation and Med-Surg training

Strong communication skills and proficiency in English

Basic computer literacy
