Position Overview
The Environmental Superintendent will oversee and manage environmental compliance and remediation projects, ensuring all activities are conducted in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. This role involves coordinating construction activities with environmental requirements, leading a team of professionals, and implementing best practices in environmental management.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and oversee environmental remediation projects
- Ensure compliance with environmental regulations and guidelines
- Coordinate with construction teams to integrate environmental controls
- Lead and mentor a team of environmental professionals
- Conduct site assessments and prepare environmental reports
- Develop and implement remediation plans and strategies
- Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to budgets and timelines
- Collaborate with stakeholders to facilitate project execution
- Conduct training sessions on environmental safety and compliance
- Perform cost estimation for environmental projects
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related fieldMinimum of 5 years of experience in environmental management or remediation (soil cleanup, demo / decon, or habitat restoration projects)Strong knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance requirementsExperience in construction management and environmental oversightFamiliarity with USACE guidelines or training is a plusHAZWOPER certification preferred but not requiredExperience in soil remediation and cleanup processesAbility to conduct effective cost estimation for environmental projectsStrong leadership and team management skillsExcellent communication and interpersonal skillsOSHA 30hr training is a plusUSACE / DoD contract experience is a plusBenefits
