Lonestar Electric Supply is looking for an Inside Sales Associate with a focus on marine electrical products and applications who will play a fundamental role in achieving our ambitious customer acquisition and revenue growth objectives. The ideal candidate will be energetic and enthusiastic with a strong desire to provide superior Customer Service. They must be comfortable making and receiving calls, working with channel partners, generating interest, qualifying prospects and closing sales. Prior experience or knowledge in marine environments, shipbuilding, offshore platforms, or port-based electrical systems is highly preferred.
Responsibilities :
- Sourcing new sales opportunities through inbound leads, follow-up and outbound calls and emails
- Understanding customer needs and requirements and making recommendations based off opportunity
- Manage customer expectations by ensuring commitments are met
- Close sales and achieve monthly quotas
- Research accounts, identify key players and generate interest
- Maintain and expand your database of prospects within your assigned territory
- Build and monitor sales pipeline and close deals
- Develop lasting relationships with key decision-makers within customer and prospect organizations
- Work to ensure 90%+ forecast accuracy
- Collaborate with outside sales and project teams to support marine-specific bids, quoting marine cable, lighting, tray, enclosures, and corrosion-resistant products
- Provide technical support and solutions tailored to the marine industry and vessel-class specifications
- Stay current on marine codes, standards (such as ABS, DNV, and USCG), and approved vendor lists (AVLs)
- Other duties as assigned by your sales manager
Requirements :
High School diploma or equivalentProven inside sales experience in the electrical supply and distribution industryExperience in marine / industrial, shipyard, or offshore platform electrical sales preferredTrack record of over-achieving quotaStrong phone presenceProficient with corporate productivity and business technologyExperience working with popular CRM systemsExcellent verbal and written communications skillsStrong listening and presentation skillsAbility to multi-task, prioritize, and manage time effectivelyFamiliarity with marine-grade products and manufacturersPhysical Requirements :
Lifting up to 25 lbs. may be required infrequently.Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.Constantly operates a computer and other office productivity machinery, such as a calculator, copy machine, and computer printer.Must be able to navigate various departments of the organization’s physical premises.Benefits
