A banquet houseman prepares, maintains, and breaks down event spaces for banquets and functions by setting up furniture, arranging linens, and cleaning the areas post-event. Key responsibilities include moving tables and chairs, maintaining cleanliness, restocking supplies, assisting other staff, and responding to guest and client requests to ensure smooth event operations and a positive guest experience. The role requires strong physical stamina for lifting and moving heavy items, attention to detail, effective communication, and the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

The Cincinnati is a luxury Marriott property located in the heart of downtown Cincinnati.

We are currently looking for a banquet set up with previous experience cleaning banquet space Bathroom and meeting rooms and open availability.

Banquet Space / Houseman Job Summary :

Performing set up meeting space and special events weddings / corporate and holiday party while interacting with guests in a positive, friendly, and efficient manner.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities :

• Set up for events by putting out tablecloths and place settings, arranging table placement, and setting up a buffet.
• Carrying plates of food on trays and cleaning kitchen.
• Keep glasses filled; remove each round of plates and replenish utensils.
• Perform cleaning tasks and breakdown of service.
• Maintain high standards of safety and cleanliness.
• Adhere to grooming and appearance standards.
