2nd Shift Disassembly Technician

The Disassembly Technician is a full-time position located in Medley, FL

This role is responsible for disassembly, cleaning, inspecting, and tagging aircraft components. It requires a deep understanding of aircraft repair, structural modifications, and mechanical troubleshooting, along with the ability to work from engineering drawings and use specialized tools and equipment. Responsibilities

• Complex production assembly operations on structural and mechanical assemblies, subassemblies and aircraft systems, equipment, and accessories using manual operations.
• Follows approved assembly procedures for component or aircraft structures, consulting internal procedures that have been FAA approved, original equipment manufacturers (OEM's) technical data, and work package instructions
• Utilization of comprehensive knowledge of aircraft mechanical component troubleshooting / repair procedures and replacement of components
• Operation of unique aircraft tools such as test equipment, torque wrenches, dial indicators, micrometers, cable tensiometers, sheet metal brakes, sheers, etc.
• Applies professional technical expertise and guidance to execute complex structures work, including but not limited to pull holes, match & back drilling, fastener removals, riveting, sleeve bolt drilling, and system, wire, and tube installations
• Reads and interprets engineering drawings, technical orders, process specifications, and retrofit requirements to perform structural modification / repair
