Overview
The Document Control Manager plays a critical role in supporting construction operations by managing the flow, accuracy, and accessibility of project documentation. This position ensures that all stakeholders have timely access to the most current and compliant documents, enabling smooth execution of subcontracts, change orders, and field operations.
Key Responsibilities
Document Management & Accuracy
- Maintain and update drawing logs within Autodesk Construction Cloud (ACC), ensuring all documents are current, properly versioned, and stored in accessible formats (PDF).
- Oversee the organization and distribution of drawing sets for subcontractor use, including change orders and field coordination.
Communication & Notifications
Coordinate onboarding and enrollment of project personnel into Sitemetric and Google Groups for mass email notifications.Manage broadcast communications for site-wide updates including :Site closure datesSafety eventsLunch or appreciation eventsEnsure the recipient list is accurate and up-to-date, reflecting current project team members and stakeholders.Workflow & Compliance
Serve as the point of contact for document control-related workflows, including permit coordination and inspection readiness.Ensure all documentation complies with project specifications, regulatory standards, and internal quality protocols.Tools & Platforms
ACC (Autodesk Construction Cloud) for drawing logs and document versioning.Sitemetric for personnel tracking and onboarding.Google Groups for managing mass communication lists.Procore, Bluebeam, Microsoft Office Suite for general document handling and collaboration.Qualifications
3+ years of experience in document control within construction or engineering environments.Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.Proficiency in ACC, Sitemetric, and document control workflows.Ability to manage multiple stakeholders and coordinate across teams.Familiarity with construction drawings, submittals, and change order documentation.Preferred Attributes
