Power Plant Operations Technician

Summary : To operate and maintain the Greenidge Generation LLC's Natural Gas Pipeline, Natural Gas fired Boiler & 106 MW Steam Turbine in Dresden, New York by performing the following duties.

Education / Experience :

High school diploma or general education degree (GED) or a degree from technical / vocational school, military service or equivalent; and / or two to four years related experience and / or training as a power plant operator, a mechanic, millwright or equivalent preferred.

Language Ability :

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Ability to write routine reports and correspondence. Ability to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of an organization.

Computer Skills :

To perform this job successfully, an individual should have knowledge of using email and word processing software, spreadsheet software and database software. This job will require online training modules through GPI-Learn, a computer-based training program.
