Job Title : PeopleSoft Financials Techno-Functional Developer

Location : New York, NY

Pay rate : $50 / hr

Position Summary

  • We are seeking an experienced PeopleSoft Financials Techno-Functional Developer to join our Enterprise Engineering team. The ideal candidate will have 10+ years of PeopleSoft development experience, specializing in the Financials and Supply Chain Management (FSCM) suite. This role is critical in designing, developing, and maintaining core financial applications, supporting both project initiatives and ongoing operational needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop, customize, and maintain PeopleSoft FSCM modules such as Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, General Ledger, Asset Management, Project Costing, and Billing
  • Design and optimize PeopleCode, Application Engine programs, SQRs, BI Publisher reports, Component Interfaces, and Integration Broker services
  • Manage the full application development lifecycle from requirements gathering and technical design through coding, testing, implementation, and documentation
  • Conduct impact analysis and perform retrofitting during PeopleTools and FSCM application upgrades
  • Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in production and development environments
  • Collaborate with functional teams to translate business requirements into scalable, efficient technical solutions
  • Develop data conversion routines, system integrations, and interface configurations with external systems
  • Ensure adherence to internal development standards, security, and SOX / financial audit requirements
  • Create and maintain detailed technical documentation and user training materials

    • Required Qualifications

  • 10+ years of PeopleSoft technical development experience, with 7+ years in FSCM modules
  • Expertise in PeopleTools 8.5x+, including PeopleCode, Application Engine, Component Interface, SQR, and Integration Broker
  • In-depth understanding of core financial processes and data structures in GL, AP, AR, AM, PC, and BI modules
  • Proven experience with PeopleSoft upgrades, patching, and retrofitting
  • Proficiency in Oracle SQL, PL / SQL, and performance tuning
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication abilities, including the preparation of technical documentation

    • Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with Fluid UI, Pivot Grids, and WorkCenters
  • Familiarity with PeopleSoft Test Framework (PTF) or other automated testing tools
  • Experience integrating PeopleSoft with external ERP or financial systems using REST / SOAP APIs
  • Exposure to PeopleSoft on Oracle Cloud Infrastructure (OCI) or other cloud platforms
  • Bachelor s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field
