Universal Plumbing is seeking a Plumbing Helper who will work under the direction of our Service Technicians and provide immediate support with making plumbing repairs.
This position is full-time. Full-time employees working a minimum 40 hours per week (Monday – Friday) are eligible for Medical, Dental, and Vision insurance coverage effective after an introductory period. Key Responsibilities
- Aid our Service Technicians with installation, maintenance and repairs of plumbing systems in residential and commercial spaces
- Ability to take direction from technician regarding lifting, retrieving supplies, loading and unloading vehicles
- Show initiative in assisting technicians and learning the trade
- Immediately report potential issues or failures with repairs directly to the technician on site
Qualifications
Plumbing experience is not required but a plus!Ability to handle plumbing tools and equipment, and / or willingness to learn (i.e. pipe wrenches, pipe cutters, etc.)Good communication and interpersonal skillsMust be able to take directionMust be able to be flexible and work with a teamValid driver’s licenseClean record from Department of Motor VehiclesPhysical Requirements
Good physical condition and strength with the ability to work in awkward spacesAbility to lift 80lbs plus.
