As a Security Professional - Armed Government Patrol FT in Reno, NV, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As an Armed Patrol Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol designated government locations, helping to deter security-related incidents and maintaining a secure environment for all occupants. Job Schedule : Day Time

Tue 12 : 00 PM - 08 : 00 PM

Wed 12 : 00 PM - 08 : 00 PM

Thur 12 : 00 PM - 08 : 00 PM

Fri 12 : 00 PM - 08 : 00 PM

Sat 12 : 00 PM - 08 : 00 PM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professionalism at all times.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or suspicious behavior.
  • Monitor and report any security-related concerns or hazards observed during patrols.
  • Maintain a visible presence to help to deter potential issues and provide reassurance to employees, visitors, and the public.
  • Interact with local law enforcement and / or emergency personnel as needed during incidents or emergencies.
  • Complete detailed and accurate reports regarding incidents, observations, and activities during each shift.
  • Follow all site-specific protocols and procedures as directed by Allied Universal and the client.
  • Operate communication devices and security-related equipment as required for the post.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to remain current with security-related best practices and procedures.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Have at least 1 year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, or military roles.
  • Possess an armed guard card or license as required by state and / or local regulations.
  • Experience with handcuffs, pepper spray, and / or baton is preferred.
  • Customer service experience is preferred.
  • Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Participate in industry-specific security-related training programs.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
