About The Position

Job Title : Echo Tech Cardiac Sonographer Pediatrics

Profession : Radiology / Cardiology

Specialty : Echo Tech Cardiac Sonographer Pediatrics

Duration : 13 weeks

Shift : Day 4x10-Hour or Day 5x8-Hour

Hours per Shift : 8 to 10 hours

Experience : Minimum 2 years required

License : Must have a state license

Certifications : ARDMS, BLS, RDCS required

Must-Have : Adult and pediatric echo skills

Description :

The position requires performing echocardiograms for both adult and pediatric patients.

Shifts will be a mix of 8-hour and 10-hour days based on department needs.

Start times for shifts can vary between 7 : 00 AM and 8 : 00 AM.

The expected work schedule is 40 hours a week.

On-call duty is required, usually 1-2 nights a week and every 3rd or 4th weekend.

Holidays will be covered on a rotating call basis.

Candidates must have a minimum of 2 years of experience in echocardiography.

First-time echocardiogram practitioners are not accepted.

Skills required for adult echocardiography include bubble study, imaging with contrast agents, M-mode, pharmacologic stress echocardiogram, and transesophageal echocardiogram.

Pediatric echocardiography skills include M-mode and routine studies.

Professional knowledge in isolation precautions and procedures for patients in ICU / ED settings is essential.

This is within an acute care hospital that is a Magnet facility with a total of 372 staffed beds.

Charting will be done using a specific electronic health record system.

Candidates should discuss scheduling requests with management prior to submission.

Candidates must have previous pediatric and adult echocardiography experience.

Upon acceptance of the role, additional compliance checks and requirements may be conducted.
