Turner Industries Group is hiring a Janitor for a maintenance jobsite in the Decatur, AL area.

Must be able to pass background check and drug screen

Must have a valid driver's license

$15.50 / per hour

Monday-Friday 6 : 00AM-2 : 30PM

No per diem or travel pay, local candidates preferred

General Job Description

Assist skilled maintenance and construction workers in performing their assigned duties. Worker may perform a large variety of duties.

Functional Requirements

Maintains premises.

Ensures rest and working areas of offices, industrial buildings and outer grounds are in clean and orderly condition.

Performs a combination of dusting furniture, walls, fixtures, and equipment.

Sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, waxing, and buffering floors.

Polishing furniture, fixtures, and trimmings.

Using janitorial supplies.

Cleaning lavatories, showers, and rest rooms.

Performs a variety of non-mechanical tasks.

Spends time on the job or may be transferred from task to task as needed.

Perform additional assignments per supervisor's direction.

Qualification Standards

High school or equivalent

General knowledge of cleaning

Post-offer drug / alcohol screen and physical evaluation

Hazard Communication orientation / test

OSHA approved corrective eye wear (Z87)

Job site orientation

Job site safety requirements as required by the client (clean shaven, long sleeves, steel toe boots, etc.)

Safety equipment as required by the client (hard hat, safety glasses, gloves, respirator, hearing protection, safety harness with lanyard, etc.)

Physical Involvement
