Position Summary : The Production Manager works directly with the Operations Manager and Productions Supervisors. We must be involved with the day-to-day planning, coordination and control of the manufacturing process and ensure that products are produced efficiently and meet the customers' expectations. Must ensure that yields are high. Responsible for the ordering of raw and finished resources including packaging materials. Responsible for hiring employees when necessary. Works with Operations Manager to continually improve the production processes.

What you'll do :

  • Oversees all production department.
  • Ensure on going communication with purchasing, sales, warehouse, transportation as needed
  • Monitor accuracy on inventory
  • Manage the analysis of yields and shrink data
  • Manage production / packaging labor cost
  • Able to make decisions based on customer preferences
  • Evaluations and wage increase recommendations
  • Handle and control daily personnel or production issues
  • Performs a variety of routine work within established policies and procedures and receives detailed instructions on new projects and assignments.
  • Work with Shipping Department to make sure to ship the orders on time.
  • Establishes methods and procedures for attaining specific goals and objectives and receives guidance in terms of broad goals.
  • Exercises wide latitude in determining objectives and approaches to critical assignments.
  • Quality control to ensure food, health, and safety
  • Develop staff including conducting team meetings performing reviews and hiring staff
  • Maintain inventory of raw and finished stock and packaging materials
  • Work with operations manager to implement improvements and production procedures
  • Implement and maintain health and food safety programs, as well as GMP's

About you :

  • High School Diploma or GED required. 3+ years of work experience in production operations required.
  • 1+ years of supervisory experience required.
  • Bilingual English / Spanish required.
  • Working knowledge of GFSI compliant food safety standards, preferably SQF.
  • Proficient in Microsoft office applications.
  • Ability to challenge and debate issues of importance to the organization.
  • Ability to look at situations from several points of view.
  • Persuasive with details and facts.
  • Produce quality knowledge preferred.
  • Inventory control and QA experience preferred.
