This position is seeking a qualified applicant who can supervise a team that reviews background screening reports received from the State's Background Screening Clearinghouse for healthcare practitioner applicants, licensees, and facility owners as authorized in F.S. 456.0135.
Your specific responsibilities include supervisory responsibilities including communicating with, motivating, training, and evaluating employees in addition to planning and directing employees' work. The incumbent will develop, administer, and interpret organizational goals, policies, and procedures relating to background screening.
Additionally, this position will require the incumbent to review administrative policies, procedures, guidelines, and related directives necessary to implement the general background screening provisions in Chapter 456, Florida Statutes. The supervisor reviews employee workload metrics and data reporting to evaluate performance and develops potential improvements and provides analysis to management of metric reports monitoring performance measures of the program to identify problem areas, trends, and possible solutions.

Knowledge of Florida Statutes, and health care-related rules regarding criminal background checks. Ability to provide technical assistance regarding program, applicant or licensee issues. Knowledge, skills and abilities, including utilization of computer equipment and software, required for the position. Ability to review and analyze data to effectively evaluate workload and work outputs. Ability to follow and establish auditing processes that ensure quality controls. Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others. Ability to provide consultative assistance to others. Ability to communicate effectively; both verbally and in writing. Ability to maintain confidentiality. Ability to perform proficiently under pressure.
