job_description.job_card.job_descriptionBachelor’s Degree or higher in Interior Design or Architecture. Minimum 1-3 years of architectural / interior design experience. Ability to visit job sites (SF proper, east bay, north bay, and south bay) and city permitting offices (mostly SF) in the Bay Area (1-2 days / week), must have a driver's license. Professional experience at an architectural firm detailing with clients, designs, and construction. Experience in architecture and design, professional experience with clients, and CD sets preferred. Proficient in Revit; highly important, including willingness to learn and develop standards. Proficiency in the G-Suite, Slack, Notion, and Airtable. Capable task ownership, proactive organization, communication, and self-management. Superb people skills, much of this role will be client facing and representing the company. Excellent graphic, written, and oral communication skills with clients and the internal team. Collaborative work style; you work well with a cross-functional team and are able to operate with many ideas, variables, and inputs. An excitement to design, try new things, and be creative. Comfort with a fast-paced, ambitious environment. Unlimited PTO (and we’ll make you take it), summer Fridays and ski Fridays recommended as well. Competitive compensation based on prior experience. As an Architectural Designer on our team you’ll have the opportunity to control your own schedule with at least 75% remote work. Not only will you manage and lead different phases of projects, but you will also help develop and create systems for a growing startup. This role is perfect for anyone in the Bay Area who is not interested in being bogged down by long overworked underpaid office hours. Salary is competitive and based on prior experience.
Responsibilities :
- Helping on all phases of projects, including programming, client needs, conceptual design, schematic design, design development and construction documents.
- Actively work with building and permitting officials during permitting and construction phases of the project. Submit projects for permit approval.
- Work closely with Project Designers, Job Captains, and Architect / Founder on relevant codes, project information and client needs.
- Graphic materials for client presentations and marketing materials.
- Enthusiasm to help create and work on non-architecture products including : clothing, games, lighting, furniture, etc.
