Overview
Senior Director, Marketing (Remote) at Durham School Services. Durham is a leading provider of student transportation with 250 locations in North America, 30,000 employees, and $1.2B in revenue. The Sr. Director of Marketing develops and executes strategic marketing plans to drive growth, enhance brand awareness, and generate demand. This role collaborates with communications and business development to align marketing with business objectives. The ideal candidate is a results-oriented leader with strong B2B / B2G marketing, digital strategy, and customer engagement experience.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement a comprehensive marketing strategy that aligns with company goals and targets key market segments for all business services with specific focus on home to school transportation.
- Drive lead generation and work with the sales team to ensure quality pipeline development.
- Lead the creation and execution of demand generation campaigns, content strategy, digital marketing, and brand awareness.
- Manage the marketing budget and allocate resources efficiently to maximize ROI.
- Enhance the company’s online presence through SEO, paid advertising, social media, and web optimization.
- Monitor and report on performance metrics and analytics, using data-driven decisions to improve marketing effectiveness.
- Manage external agencies and vendors to support marketing initiatives.
- Represent the brand at industry events, conferences, and through thought leadership content.
- Ensure compliance with corporate brand requirements and communicate requirements across the organization.
- Support writing and editing of proposals to support new business and retention efforts.
- Develop current collateral materials describing the advantages of each product line.
- Collaborate on the company’s tradeshow effort, including identifying shows to attend, sponsorships, and prospective customer events.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent7-10 years of business development marketing experienceProven ability to collaborate with stakeholders across organizational linesWorking knowledge of IT tools (CRM, BI tools, SFA, MS Office, etc.) and transportation-related softwareStrong analytical skills with ability to translate data into strategiesTrack record of developing and executing marketing strategies with measurable resultsExperience managing marketing budgets and ROI optimizationKnowledge of proposal writing techniques, with marketing experience in transportation preferredExcellent communication and presentation skills; able to influence executives and cross-functional partnersAbility to travelWe offer medical, dental, vision, basic life insurance, holiday pay, PTO, and a retirement plan.
