Position Summary
We’re seeking a detail-oriented CAD Designer to support our plumbing engineering team in developing residential construction plans. This role involves creating accurate technical drawings, coordinating with internal and external partners, and assisting with field verification and data collection. The ideal candidate has strong AutoCAD skills, a solid understanding of construction drawings, and a desire to grow within a collaborative engineering environment.
Key Responsibilities
Prepare and update residential plumbing design drawings using AutoCAD.
Support the engineering team by assisting in design development and layout preparation for assigned projects.
Perform data collection, field verification, and documentation as needed.
Ensure all drawings are accurate, complete, and delivered within project deadlines.
Collaborate with engineers, designers, and builders to obtain necessary project details and resolve design conflicts.
Maintain organized project files and documentation.
Promote effective communication and teamwork across departments.
Maintain reliable attendance and uphold company standards for professionalism and accuracy.
Perform additional design-related duties as assigned.
Skills & Qualifications
Proficiency in AutoCAD is required.
Ability to read and interpret construction and structural plans.
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Understanding of basic engineering principles and drafting methodologies preferred.
Strong attention to detail, organization, and time management skills.
Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
Education & Experience
High school diploma or equivalent required; college coursework or certification in drafting, design, or AutoCAD preferred.
Prior experience in CAD drafting, especially related to plumbing or construction design, is a plus.
