Job Description

We are seeking a Senior Accountant to join our accounting department and work directly alongside our Controller (a licensed CPA). This role is ideal for someone who thrives in a collaborative environment, enjoys problem-solving, and wants to contribute to a dynamic and detail-oriented finance team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist with month-end and year-end closings , including reconciliations, journal entries, and financial statement preparation.
  • Support day-to-day accounting operations : accounts payable / receivable, general ledger maintenance, and expense tracking.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and ensure accuracy of financial reporting.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis .
  • Collaborate closely with the Controller on special projects, process improvements, and internal controls .
  • Provide support for audit and tax preparation .
  • Gain valuable exposure to the accounting needs of related companies and affiliated entities , broadening experience beyond a single organization.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA or CPA-track a plus).
  • 3–5+ years of accounting experience (public accounting or industry).
  • Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency with accounting software (QuickBooks) and advanced Excel skills .
  • Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving abilities.
  • Ability to work independently while being a team player in a collaborative department .
