Overview
The Senior Data Manager will be responsible for driving both data analytics and data management activities to support clinical research studies and business operations.
The ideal candidate will combine technical proficiency with strong analytical skills, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and actionable insights through data. This role requires strong expertise in Power BI, data modeling, and clinical data management processes.
Responsibilities
- Data Analytics
- Define and build data models using Power BI, MS SQL, MS Power Query, Power Query M, and DAX to support robust data visualizations.
- Apply knowledge of relational databases, data relationships, and joins to design accurate reporting solutions.
- Use effective interviewing and analysis skills to elicit and translate stakeholder requirements based on study design.
- Perform user acceptance testing on analytical and programmatic solutions to ensure requirements are met.
- Evaluate data integrity and accuracy; identify and resolve issues.
- Provide meaningful analysis and interpretation of data outputs to deliver actionable results.
- Maintain complete and up-to-date documentation, including specifications and reference materials.
- Data Management
- Evaluate data errors and collection issues, providing guidance and recommendations to clinical teams for resolution.
- Define and specify clinical data collection requirements (e.g., eCRFs, CRFs, edit checks, external data capture).
- Develop and execute user acceptance testing (e.g., test scripts, checklists) to validate data collection systems.
- Lead project management activities for assigned cohorts or studies, including team meetings, project timelines, and stakeholder communications.
- Develop and maintain data management deliverables, including Data Management Plans (DMPs), training materials, and user guides in compliance with regulations.
- Participate in the development and review of SOPs, work instructions, and related documentation for Clinical Data Management (CDM).
- Contribute to process improvement by recommending updates to SOPs and assisting in user training.
Skills
Proficiency in EDC (Electronic Data Capture) systems.Strong technical skills in Microsoft Office Suite, T-SQL, Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, Data Modelling, Data Flows, DAX, Power Query, and Power Query M.Highly detail-oriented with the ability to maintain efficiency across multiple projects at varying stages.Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships.Excellent problem-solving and critical thinking skills.Education and Experience
Bachelor's degree or equivalent required.5–7 years of senior-level Data Management experience in a regulated environment.2–4 years of experience building, deploying, and maintaining Power BI dashboards.J-18808-Ljbffr
