General job duties. Types of procedures required. Patient Care

Equipment utilized in the unit / dept. (Is there computerized charting, medication systems, etc.) IV PUMPs, WOUND VAC, LIFTS, FEEDING PUMPS, SCD, NG TUBES, SUCTION, FOLEY

Required skills and minimum years of experience. Minimum 1 year experience in an acute care hospital setting required.

Specific licensures and certifications / registrations required. (ARRT, CRT, BLS, ACLS, etc) IN or compact RN license, BLS2

Shift or schedule requirements. (Will the employee ever work alone? Is call required? If so, how often? Are weekends required?) 36 hours per week, 7pm-7am, 3 weekend shifts per month

Floating to other units / departments. (If so, to which units / departments?) No

Bed size / number of rooms for this unit / dept. 36

Nurse to patient ratio of this unit. (nursing only) 5 : 1

Dress Code : Caribbean blue scrubs

Tell us about the unit / department specific training and orientation program. Scavenger Hunt and 1 day supervised on unit after Jumpstart orientation

Orientation will be Mon-Fri week 1 and Mon-Tues week 2 - 8 hour days. MANDATORY ATTENDANCE IS REQUIRED FOR ALL 7 DAYS OF ORIENTATION.

Name of Position Requirements

IN or compact license required.

BLS through AHA required.

1+ years of Medsurg experience required.
