Security Officer - Patrol Driver Industrial

As a Security Officer - Patrol Driver Industrial in Cedar Rapids, IA, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more.

As an unarmed patrol professional with Allied Universal at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will monitor and patrol designated areas to help foster a secure environment. Your presence will help to deter security-related incidents while you provide outstanding customer service and clear communication. This position requires a valid driver's license, as you may be responsible for vehicle patrols in addition to foot patrols. Day Time Mon 12 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 AM Tue 12 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 AM Wed 12 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 AM Thur 12 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 AM Sun 12 : 00 AM - 08 : 00 AM

What You'll Do :

  • Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites
  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service to clients and visitors by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and / or emergency response activities as directed by Allied Universal.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, following protocols established for manufacturing and industrial locations.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols throughout the facility and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activities and support a secure environment.
  • Monitor entry and exit points, checking credentials and maintaining awareness of the surroundings.
  • Report and document any unusual activity, hazards, or security-related incidents as observed during patrols.
  • Support Allied Universal leadership with site-specific tasks and communication as needed.
  • Assist with access control, visitor management, and adherence to facility policies and procedures.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
