Maintenance Technician, up to $28 / hr – Clinton Twp

A local state-of-the-art plastic mold shop serving the Medical & Automotive Industries in Clinton Twp is looking for an experienced Maintenance Technician . If you're skilled in industrial equipment repair and want to grow your career in a clean, high-tech facility—this opportunity is for you!

Responsibilities :

  • Perform preventative and corrective maintenance on injection molding machines, molds, robots, and auxiliary equipment.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems.

Respond quickly to machine breakdowns and production calls to minimize downtime.

  • Adjust and monitor equipment performance to maintain efficiency and safety.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance, repairs, inspections, and part usage.
  • Work with the engineering and production teams to increase machine reliability and uptime.
  • Help install and upgrade new or existing equipment as needed.
  • Maintain auxiliary equipment like dryers, loaders, temperature control units, and cooling systems.
  • Ensure all work complies with safety standards and company procedures.

    • Qualifications :

  • High School diploma or GED required (technical or trade school training preferred).
  • Minimum 3 years of maintenance experience in an injection molding or industrial environment.
  • Strong understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, mechanical, and electrical systems.
  • Experience with injection molding equipment (e.g., Engel, Arburg, Husky) is a big plus.
  • Ability to read schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.
  • Problem-solving mindset with strong attention to detail.
  • Able to lift up to 50 lbs and work in a fast-paced, noisy manufacturing environment.
  • Flexibility to work nights or weekends if needed.

    • A day in the life at this company for this position includes working 3 : 00pm–11 : 30pm, Mon–Fri. In this role, you’ll be the go-to person for keeping production equipment running smoothly and safely. You'll troubleshoot machines, perform maintenance, and ensure the facility runs efficiently with minimal interruptions. If you like hands-on work, solving technical challenges, and keeping things running—this is a great fit for you!

    This is a temporary-to-hire position—show up, work hard, and there’s a strong opportunity for full-time hire!
