Leminal Diagnostics provides diagnostic imaging systems, parts, and services to healthcare providers worldwide. We combine speed, quality, and a global supply network to ensure critical medical equipment is available when and where it’s needed. We are seeking a Biomedical Engineering Technician (CBET) to support our Lincolnshire, IL operations. This role is responsible for the testing, troubleshooting, repair, parting-out, and refurbishing of diagnostic imaging equipment. The position requires strong multi-modality experience.
Responsibilities
- Inspect, test, troubleshoot, and repair diagnostic imaging equipment
- Perform parting-out and harvesting of equipment and subcomponents for resale; ensure accurate documentation and labeling of all parts
- Conduct refurbishing and quality checks on imaging equipment in accordance with OEM and ISO 13485 standards
- Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and inventory data
- Collaborate with operations leadership to ensure timely processing of incoming equipment and preparation for customer delivery
- Adhere to all regulatory, safety, and quality standards, including ESD-safe practices
- Maintain tools, test equipment, and workspace in proper working condition
- Support continuous improvement efforts to increase efficiency and reduce turnaround times
Qualifications
Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) or equivalent military training / experience in biomedical equipment repair (e.g., U.S. Army 68A, U.S. Navy Hospital Corpsman – Biomedical, U.S. Air Force BMET, or similar)Minimum 5 years of experience working with diagnostic imaging equipment; GE CT expertise requiredMulti-modality experience (MRI, ultrasound, X-ray, mammography, etc.) highly desirableStrong technical knowledge of electronic, mechanical, and computer systems related to imaging equipmentFamiliarity with ISO 13485 quality management standards and regulatory requirementsAbility to read and interpret service manuals, schematics, and technical documentationProficient in documentation and recordkeeping; ERP / WMS experience a plusAbility to lift up to 50 lbs and perform physical tasks required in equipment servicingWhy Join Us
