Position Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated Entry-Level HSE Specialist to provide front-line HSE support across an assigned operating region. As a key member of the regional HSE team, you will play a critical role in implementing and maintaining the HSE Management System , ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and internal standards. This role fosters a positive safety culture and collaborates with operational leadership to drive continuous HSE performance improvements .
Key Responsibilities
Ensure operational compliance with Federal, State, and local regulations, customer requirements, and internal HSE standards.Use risk-based thinking to proactively identify hazards and manage HSE risks.Respond to HSE-related incidents , conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.Assist in developing hazard control designs, methods, procedures, and programs.Implement and facilitate training programs tailored to site and customer requirements.Measure, audit, and evaluate the effectiveness of safety programs and hazard control measures.Analyze HSE trends and collaborate with operational leaders to develop improvement action plans.Prepare and deliver HSE-related reports, presentations, and training as needed.Assist in incident investigations, safety inspections, audits, and hazard assessments .Contribute to HSE systems improvement initiatives and special projects.Actively participate in the Utilities Segment HSE community , promoting standardization across assigned regions.Education & Experience Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, or a related field.3-5 years of HSE experience in industries such as Telecom, Gas Utilities, Specialty Boring, Heavy Civil, or Electrical .In-depth knowledge of Federal, State, and local HSE regulations .Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills .Ability to adapt in a fast-paced environment with evolving priorities.Strong interpersonal, communication, and coaching skills.Experience managing multiple projects simultaneously .Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Windows Operating Systems .Ability to travel on short notice, up to 70% (subject to change) .If you are passionate about workplace safety, environmental stewardship, and driving continuous improvement , we invite you to apply and become a key part of our team!
