Job Description

As a Security Guard - Government Patrol Driver in Washington, DC , you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more.

As a Patrol Unarmed Officer with Allied Universal, you will monitor and patrol assigned government locations to help create a secure and welcoming environment. You will conduct regular patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter security-related incidents, and provide outstanding customer service and communication. This position is a driving post, so you will be responsible for navigating the location while upholding our values of integrity, teamwork, and a people-first approach. What You'll Do :

Use our proprietary scheduling platform to claim open shifts at client sites

  • Support operations across a range of environments including commercial real estate, healthcare, and education
  • Receive site-specific training and guidance from experienced teams
  • Deliver consistent, professional security presence and customer service
  • Be ready to fill in at short notice when urgent needs arise

Responsibilities :

  • Provide customer service by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies, and when appropriate, emergency response activities for the location.
  • Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner.
  • Conduct regular and random patrols around the premises and perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and identify potential concerns. Working environments and conditions may vary by location.
  • Observe and report any unusual activity and / or incidents to the appropriate authorities or Allied Universal management.
  • Assist visitors, employees, and / or contractors with directions and information as needed while maintaining a professional presence.
  • Complete required reports and documentation of daily activities, incidents, and observations according to Allied Universal guidelines.

    • Minimum Requirements :

  • Applicants must have at least one year of experience in armed security-related, law enforcement, or military roles.
  • Applicants must be at least 21 years of age.
  • A valid driver's license is required in accordance with Allied Universal driver policy requirements.
  • Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
  • Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
  • Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
  • As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
  • Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
  • A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
