This position involves working in the emergency room.

The shifts are 12 hours, from 1845 to 0715.

Common diagnoses and treatments include trauma, unknown fevers, bronchitis, appendicitis, cellulitis, pancreatitis, osteomyelitis, diabetes, RSV, COVID-19, dehydration, fever, flu, and tonsillectomy.

The unit has 32 beds, with a nurse-to-patient ratio of 1 : 4.

Charting is completed using Cerner.

The scrub color required is navy blue.

Areas of float support may be included.

Special procedures may be part of the responsibilities.
