Cash Management Analyst II
Supports all aspects of Cash Management through operational and financial analyses, process implementation, reporting, and research to achieve all departmental performance objectives in a multi-source environment under limited supervision. Supports and maintains existing in-house database applications and assist in the development of new applications to support process automation within the Cash Management department. The focus of the Analyst is to provide operational and statistical with the ability to extract, analyze, test and report on data from the given systems. The Analyst must be able to translate business requests into the appropriate report, utilizing their understanding of multiple data sources and inputs. The candidate must be sufficiently knowledgeable in software capabilities to automate and streamline processes and procedures. He or she must be able to provide support for the reporting applications, ensuring on-time delivery of all existing reports.
Works with Cash Management to develop and enhance existing reporting mechanisms, including those required for all aspects of cash management efforts.
Create, support, and maintain in-house databases and front-end applications used to streamline existing operational processes and procedures through automation, including design and development of web user interface as required.
Assist in the transition of process automation to long term maintenance and infrastructure to support these systems.
Utilizes and interprets operational and financial metrics to provide timely completion of trend and forecast variance analysis.
Collaborates with other functional and corporate departments, to identify and resolve business challenges related to operating, capital expenses, and business objectives.
Establishes effective working relations with the Cash Management team to develop tools, which analyze and review operating metrics regarding Collection objectives.
Provides analytical and administrative support as required to perform in-depth analysis of data and statistical reporting to develop recommendations for operational and financial improvements.
Analyzes and reports on trends and implements corrective action where required.
Manages select projects when required.
Participates in special projects and performs other duties as assigned.
Facilitate the creation, coding, and testing of simple to complex reports, following departmental and EIT standards.
Maintain and support existing reports and reporting structure in a timely manner.
Provide analytical and administrative support for Cash Management as required, including analyzing data, performing ad-hoc analysis and data mining.
With limited guidance, retrieve data from Billing System Data Warehouse, Oracle, KOMs, and other sources to be utilized within processes, reporting, coding, and analysis.
Completes special projects and provides management support as required.
Four-year college degree preferred
Five plus years of telecommunications or related experience required. Including but not limited to creating and maintaining key operating metrics for the business' short term and long-term goals
Five plus years' finance experience including but not limited to accounts payable, financial budgeting and forecasting processes and analysis
Working knowledge of SQL Server, Oracle, My SQL, Word, Excel, Access, MS Visual Basic and CableData for applications and / or other internal databases
Strong analytical, statistical and problem-solving skills, along with the aptitude to recognize, evaluate, and present opportunities for improvement in operational performance and efficiency
Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple tasks simultaneously
Experience working with multiple databases and sharing data between sources
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment both on an individual basis and with a team
Excellent oral and written communication skills
