About the Role :

The Accounting Assistant plays a crucial role in supporting the financial operations within the agriculture, forestry, fishing, and hunting industry by ensuring accurate and timely processing of accounting transactions. This position is responsible for maintaining financial records, reconciling accounts, and assisting with cost accounting to provide clear insights into the organization's financial health. The role requires close collaboration with the accounting team to manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring all transactions comply with company policies and regulatory standards. By efficiently handling bank reconciliations and general accounting tasks, the Accounting Assistant helps maintain the integrity of financial data and supports the preparation of financial reports. Ultimately, this position contributes to the smooth financial functioning of the organization, enabling informed decision-making and operational efficiency.

Skills :

The required skills such as bank reconciliation and accounts receivable are essential for managing daily financial transactions and ensuring the accuracy of financial records. Proficiency in accounting software to efficiently record and track financial data, generate reports, and support audit processes. General accounting knowledge is applied to maintain the integrity of the ledger and assist with month-end and year-end closings. Cost accounting skills are used to analyze expenses related to agricultural operations, helping the organization control costs and improve profitability. Preferred skills, including advanced software proficiency and industry-specific knowledge, enhance the ability to navigate complex financial scenarios and contribute to strategic financial planning.

In-office Monday through Friday, 7 : 30 AM to 5 : 00 PM. If month-end falls on a Saturday, a few hours of work are required.
