Overview

Chime is looking for a strategic, impact-driven Director to lead Analytics for our Spending Product organization. In this high-visibility role, you’ll partner with leaders across Data, Product, Finance, and Engineering to shape decisions that reach millions of members. Reporting to the VP of Analytics, you’ll drive both strategy and execution in one of Chime’s most important growth engines—directly influencing how people spend, save, move money, and improve their financial health.

The base salary offered for this role and level of experience will begin at $198,990.00 and up to $281,900.00. Full-time employees are also eligible for a bonus, competitive equity package, and benefits. The actual base salary offered may be higher, depending on your location, skills, qualifications, and experience.

In this role, you can expect to

  • Lead and grow a team of high-performing analysts across multiple product areas, fostering a culture of curiosity, rigor, and impact.
  • Drive experimentation as a thought partner to Product, designing, analyzing, and scaling tests that inform product strategy and accelerate learning.
  • Translate member behaviors across spending and saving products into insights that shape product roadmaps and connect directly to Chime’s P&L in partnership with Finance.
  • Deliver executive-ready narratives by turning complex data into clear, actionable insights for senior leadership and cross-functional stakeholders.
  • Define success metrics and evolve dashboards that give visibility into product performance, growth levers, and business health.
  • Shape Chime’s analytics strategy and culture, playing a senior leadership role in advancing how analytics drives decisions across the company.
  • Bring external perspective, staying on top of fintech, data science, and analytics best practices to raise the bar for the team and company.
  • Collaborate in person with your team and peers in our downtown San Francisco office four days per week.

To thrive in this role, you have

  • 12+ years of experience in analytics, with at least 5 years building and managing high-performing in fintech, consumer tech, or other data-rich environments.
  • Expertise in experimentation and causal inference, with a track record of designing, analyzing, and scaling impactful tests.
  • Strong product intuition and the ability to connect member behaviors with product roadmaps and financial outcomes.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with experience presenting complex data insights to executives and influencing strategic decisions.
  • Hands-on technical depth in SQL and analytics tools, and the ability to guide teams using modern data stacks and visualization platforms.
  • Strategic mindset with an operator’s bias, capable of setting long-term vision while driving day-to-day execution.
