Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician Job Details

Job Title : Locum Tenens Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician

Location : Elko, NV 89801 (Nevada healthcare jobs)

Facility Type : On-site hospital and clinic

Contract Duration : 13-week contract with ongoing locum tenens opportunities

Start Date : November 3, 2025

Shifts : 12-hour shifts; varied days, including call coverage and clinic work (3-4 days / week)

Patient Encounters : 2-3 per shift

Department Beds : 17

Physician Qualifications

Minimum 1 year of clinical experience in obstetrics and gynecology

MD degree; board eligible (board certification not required)

Required certifications : ABLS, ACLS

Experience managing low and high-risk pregnancies

Proficient in OB ultrasounds (performance and interpretation)

Skilled in routine and complicated deliveries : vaginal, low forceps, c-section, breech, multiple births, abruptions

Estimated credentialing : 30-45 days

Obstetrics and Gynecology Physician Responsibilities

Deliver comprehensive obstetric and gynecologic care in hospital and clinic settings

Provide call coverage and clinic services 3-4 days per week

Manage low and high-risk pregnancies, including delivery decision-making

Perform and interpret OB ultrasounds (Level I / Screening and Level II / Targeted preferred)

Conduct routine and complex deliveries : vaginal, low forceps, c-section, breech, multiple births

Collaborate with a multidisciplinary healthcare team to ensure high-quality patient care
