Director of Nursing – Home Infusion

Location : Chesapeake, VA 23320

Pay Range : $108,000 – $126,000 per year

Employment Type : Full-Time | Direct Hire

Position Summary :

An established and growing home infusion organization is seeking an experienced Director of Nursing to lead clinical and administrative operations in Chesapeake, VA. This leadership role is responsible for ensuring the highest standards of patient care while maintaining full compliance with federal, state, and accreditation requirements.

Key Responsibilities :

  • Provide leadership and oversight of home infusion clinical and administrative services
  • Ensure adherence to all applicable state, federal, and accreditation regulations
  • Supervise nursing and support staff, including hiring, training, scheduling, and evaluations
  • Oversee patient care delivery in the home and ambulatory infusion suite (AIS) settings
  • Review and maintain patient clinical records, ensuring documentation accuracy and compliance
  • Monitor operational indicators and staffing needs based on census trends and productivity metrics
  • Lead quality improvement programs, risk assessments, and emergency preparedness planning
  • Support the development of nursing leadership through mentorship and performance evaluations
  • Coordinate with partner agencies and staffing providers involved in patient care
  • Serve as acting Administrator in their absence

Required Qualifications :

  • Current and unrestricted Registered Nurse (RN) license in the state of practice
  • Bachelor’s degree required; graduate degree in healthcare preferred
  • Minimum of five (5) years of clinical RN experience
  • At least two (2) years of management experience in home infusion, home health, or a related healthcare setting
  • At least two (2) years of experience supervising clinical teams
  • Current CPR / BLS certification
  • Valid driver's license and insured, reliable transportation
