Job Summary :
The licensed Physical Therapist Assistant under the direction of the Licensed Physical Therapist implements designated treatment plans, provides objective feedback on patient performance and assists in the development and enhancement of the interdisciplinary therapeutic environment. Demonstrates the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriate to the age of the patients served; demonstrates knowledge of the principles of growth and development; possesses the ability to assess data reflective of the patient's status; interprets the appropriate information needed to identify each patient's requirements relative to his / her age specific needs, and to provide the care needed.
Performance Expectations
Qualifications : Education / Skills
Graduate of an approved physical therapist assistant program. Acute care therapists and therapy
assistants will complete 2 hours of stroke education annually.
Work Experience :
May be a recent graduate.
Certification / Licensure -DUE UPON HIRE
Additional Certification / Licensure - Obtained based on required timeframe below

Mental Demands :
Must be able to follow instructions from the supervising physical therapist and leadership. Must be congenially cooperative with co-workers and patients.
