Exciting opportunity to join the Doubletree by Hilton Atlanta Dunwoody as our Chief Engineer. The Chief Engineer will be responsible to lead, support and direct all property engineering and maintenance department operations. Maintain property appearance, equipment, HVAC, plumbing, refrigeration and electrical systems.

This includes physical plant and fixtures to provide maximum profitability and operational efficiency. Identify life / safety equipment and procedures and report any concerns to the General Manager (GM). Responsible to maintain basic systems operation and complete repair to other building components that influence guest services. You will uphold company and brand standards. Act as a trainer and mentor to the team while being an on property subject matter expert.

Responsibilities :

• Chief Engineers recruit, train, and manage a team of engineers and technicians, delegating tasks and setting performance goals.
• develop and implement preventative maintenance schedules for all hotel systems and equipment to minimize the risk of breakdowns and extend the lifespan of assets.
• diagnose and repair issues with mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, as well as other building equipment and fixtures.
• Manage the engineering department's budget, controlling expenses related to maintenance, repairs, and capital projects.
• Oversee renovations, remodeling projects, and new construction, coordinating with contractors and ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Ensure the hotel complies with all relevant safety regulations and building codes.
• Oversee the proper functioning of safety and security systems, including fire alarms, emergency lighting, and surveillance systems.
• Respond to guest requests and complaints related to maintenance issues, striving to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay.
• Communicate effectively with other hotel departments to address maintenance needs and ensure smooth operations.

Located off I-285, our hotel is two miles from Perimeter Mall and the Dunwoody MARTA train station with access to downtown Atlanta. Oglethorpe University is a ten-minute drive from us. UPS Headquarters and Truist Park are 20 minutes away.
