Staff Accountant
We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Staff Accountant to join our team in Winston Salem, NC. This role offers broad exposure across the accounting function, including general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, and financial reporting. The ideal candidate will thrive in a dynamic environment and enjoy working across multiple entities and functions.
Key Responsibilities
General Accounting
- Perform journal entries, intercompany transactions, and account reconciliations.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statement preparation.
- Assist with internal and external audit requests.
- Participate in process improvement initiatives to enhance efficiency and controls.
Payroll
Serve as back-up for bi-weekly payroll processing.Maintain payroll records and ensure compliance with regulations.Handle deductions, benefits, garnishments, and employee inquiries.Prepare payroll reports and maintain documentation.Accounts Payable
Process vendor invoices and ensure timely payments.Maintain vendor records and resolve inquiries.Reconcile invoices, purchase orders, and payments.Process electronic payments and employee expense reports.Manage clinical study site payments and credit card accruals.Generate AP-related reports and support audits.Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.3+ years of general accounting experience.Experience in payroll processing.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and accounting software.Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.Ability to handle confidential information with integrity.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.Preferred Skills
Experience with Paylocity payroll software.Experience with SAGE X3 ERP system.Prior experience in a multi-functional accounting role.Why Join Us?

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $38.46 - $47.12 / hr.
