American Traveler is seeking an experienced PACU RN with critical care and pediatric experience, valid VT or compact RN license, and recent EPIC EMR experience.
\n \n Responsibilities\n
Work in the Post Anesthesia Care Unit of a large teaching hospitalPatient population includes adults and pediatrics recovering from anesthesiaMust have experience with high acuity post-anesthesia patients including critical care casesHandles advanced monitoring : arterial lines, titrating drips, and cardiac monitoringInfusion specialty is preferredShifts are 10-hour evenings (10 : 00-20 : 30 or 12 : 00-22 : 30) with some Saturdays, holiday, and weekend coverage requiredBi-weekly orientation sessions are held on MondaysEPIC EMR is used and recent (within the last 2 years) EPIC experience is requiredResponsibilities include providing post-anesthesia care to both adult and pediatric patients with complex needsMust be comfortable working with all ages on night shiftsHoliday and weekend coverage is required, and no block scheduling is allowedTeam-oriented environment with bi-weekly orientation to support new staffFirst-time travelers will be considered for this positionEnsure that all employment gaps over 90 days are explained in application\n \n Requirements\n
Active VT or compact RN licenseCertifications required : BLS, ACLS, and PALSMinimum of 2-5 years' high acuity PACU critical care experience requiredPediatric PACU experience requiredMust have experience in a large, teaching hospital settingMust show experience with arterial lines, multiple titrating drips, and cardiac monitoringRecent EPIC charting experience (within past 2 years) is nonnegotiableReliable personal or rental vehicle required as public transportation is not accessibleVehicles must be equipped with all-season or snow tires from November through AprilCovid and flu vaccine proof or official declinations required for consideration\n Benefits\n
