D&G Transportation is a family owned and operated, established food service carrier based in Germantown WI. Our Maintenance department is seeking an individual to support vehicle, building, and grounds maintenance and repairs.  The ideal candidate will have a solid work ethic and able to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Pay rate based on experience

Primary responsibilities :

Our maintenance team solves daily issues and utilizes resources while making diagnostic repairs in a timely manner.  This includes a process of inspecting, troubleshooting, and performing maintenance on forklifts and other industrial equipment, company owned trucks and trailers, dock plates and doors, seasonal grounds maintenance, and changing lightbulbs.  This position requires communication with vendors and suppliers for the needs of equipment and existing buildings.  A valid driver’s license is required. Possessing a CDL would be beneficial.

You will continually inspect and identify hazards and consult with the maintenance team to establish controls or eliminate any potential issues.

Additional responsibilities :

• Safely operate mechanical tools (pneumatic and electric).
• Read and utilize diagrams, owner manuals, SDS information, and other documentation related to the work environment and safe operation of equipment.
• Keep the job site orderly, clean and safe.
• Organize paperwork, purchase receipts, repair orders, purchase orders, etc.
• Stand, squat, kneel, climb, walk, pull, reach, and lift without issue.
• Communicate effectively and professionally with coworkers and vendors.
• Follow all safety polices and use PPE when required.
• Lift up to 50#

This is a full-time position with possible night and weekend hours.
