Southeast Orthopedic Specialists is growing, and we’re looking for a Supervisor, Authorizations to lead our team. In this role, you’ll oversee the authorization process, ensuring all imaging, DME, and referral requests are completed accurately and on time, while coaching your team, driving productivity, and maintaining top-notch service for patients and providers.

    GENERAL SUMMARY

  • ????What You’ll Do
  • Lead and support a high-performing scheduling and clinical team by providing coaching, feedback, and mentorship. Oversee daily workflow, ensure deadlines are met, and manage staff performance metrics. Collaborate with internal departments, vendors, and external partners to authorize procedures, DME, and referrals. Resolve patient questions or complaints to maintain high satisfaction and uphold organizational standards.

  • ????Essential Functions
  • Supervise, coach, and develop staff, including performance reviews, corrective actions, and development plans.
  • Monitor and report team productivity, adherence to schedules, and departmental metrics.
  • Assist in interviewing, hiring, and training new team members.
  • Authorize surgical and in-office procedures, DME, and custom bracing; coordinate external referrals.
  • Maintain effective communication and collaboration with other departments and vendors.
  • Handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Participate in staff meetings and contribute to process improvements.

    ✅What We’re Looking For

  • High school diploma / GED or equivalent.
  • 2+ years supervisory experience in a medical scheduling or clinical environment.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and inspire a positive team culture.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with physicians, patients, and staff.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and able to meet deadlines in a fast-paced setting.
