Manufacturing Engineer

Under the direction of the Senior Manufacturing Engineer, the Manufacturing Engineer is responsible for assisting in the detailed review of internal quality systems. This Engineering role is responsible for providing recommendations for improvement of internal processes and utilizing their problem-solving skills to ensure compliance aligns with the Quality Management System as well as ISO procedures.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist in contract review of new orders / production jobs and contact customers for clarification if needed. Assist in the review of customer requirements.
• Participate in the review and edit of complex blueprints for manufacturing as needed including allowances for heat treating, plating, etc.
• Collaborate in the review and edit of manufacturing process routing and changes as necessary.
• Help in the execution of DCNs and work closely with quality department and manufacturing team to determine and implement the appropriate corrective actions taken.
• Work closely with manufacturing personnel and management on manufacturing processes and areas of improvement.
• Assist in the review and implementation of ISO, Government and other regulatory requirements.
• With direction, maintain, review, and update internal procedures and work instructions as necessary.
• Actively participate in internal audits and assist in the facilitation of customer / registrar audits.
• Perform other work-related activities as assigned by the Manufacturing Engineer and / or General Manager.
